Summary
SCR Technologies(SCR)is a division of Southwire Company, LLC that sells and manufactures the world's most technically advanced continuous casting copper and aluminum rod systems. SCR has been designing, operating, and selling continuous copper and aluminum rod mills since 1963. Rod Sales -Metals is responsible for the sale of both copper and aluminum rod in support of Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
The SCR/ Rod Sales Intern will assist in documenting and improving the order entry and tracking process to allow the Rod Sales Manager more time and opportunity to pursue additional external sales opportunities. The Intern will also work closely with the Manager -SCR Proposals to update and improve the costing models used by SCR in developing global proposals for SCR's aluminum and copper systems. Both initiatives will drive incremental sales revenue, profitability, and overall market penetration opportunities.
Requirements
On schedule for Bachelor's degree.
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Need strong technical skills, be analytical, highly organized, and able to manage competing priorities -self-starter able to manage two distinctly separate projects with minimal supervision.
Strong MS Excel skills with experience with Macros preferred.
Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
Strong communication skills appropriate for consultation with all levels of management.
Strong work ethic with a demonstrated ability to complete projects and tasks on time.
